About ~ReddX

Colour is a universal element in art, and each paints a different story. Colour creates the composition, accentuates atmosphere, makes the mood and generally provides the attraction that draws people into the picture. Colour is ever-so variable and it can be subtle or vibrant, calm or vicious, taking the meaning to another dimension. Colour is not just visually pleasing to the eye, but thrives to enhance juxtaposition, symbolism, culture, and of course art. We see colour all around us, and in that we also see the simple beauty in life. So “Taste the Rainbow” in one particular colour...Red.

Red can be characterised by its vibrancy and attention-captivating nature, where it remains as a symbol for a variety of things. Red acknowlegdes warning or danger, heat or fire. Red is the colour of blood and is the heart of love. In good light or bad, red remains one of the central colours that surrounds us in everyday life, and we associate it with many different things.

Send a note to ~ReddX with "Join" in the subject line. You must then watch the club so you remain informed about regular updates. A mention in your journal and/or signature are appreciated.

To Submit Deviations

Send a note to ~ReddX with a link to the deviation and "Submission" in the subject line. We will post your submission as soon as possible. Please no more than 1 deviation at a time. Once you are a member, you can submit your artwork here.

Commenting

Please go to the original deviation and give comments and favs there. Try to give helpful and constructive criticism, which is useful for the deviant. Talk about compositon, colour, theme, concepts etc...Please be polite, and treat people nicely
(which of course, I'm sure you do already).
